The PRIVA-CTM Policy Generator facilitates quick production of relevant, comprehensive, P3P-compliant privacy policies. Targeted for release in late 2003, it creates website policies as well as other critical, more complex privacy and security policies.
Platform for Privacy Preference Project
The Platform for Privacy Preference Project (P3P) is a specification developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). When implemented by websites and web browsers, it will help consumers decide when and under what circumstances they should disclose their personal information.
On a P3P-enabled website, an organization's privacy policy is presented in a machine-readable format (XML) and is automatically interpreted by a user’s browser. The web browser then can compare the policy with the user’s predefined preferences and assist the user in deciding what, if any, personal information they will provide.
